Himachal Pradesh represents the confluence of man and nature. You can see Buddhist monks and Hindu sadhus venerated in this region. Pristine woods and alpine meadows alternate in this valley of enchantment, luring visitors from all over the World. About 40 km away is Manali, a paradise for the outdoors man. This little town has a 450 years old Dhoongri temple, with intricate wood carvings, dedicated to Hadimba Devi.
The inhabitants, most of them farmers and semi-nomadic pastoralists are known for their honesty,tolerance and hospitality.The tradition and culture of these people are as diverse as their rugged valleys as exemplified by their rituals,customs,crafts and apparels.
