Andhra Chicken
We bring you this simple chicken curry Andhra style. Bursting with the goodness of aromatic spices, this dish is sure to tickle your palate.
Remove the skin from the chicken and cut it into pieces and clean. Marinate it in ginger garlic paste, chilly powder, salt, lime juice, sour buttermilk, coriander powder and cumin powder for an hour. Heat oil in a frying pan and add chopped onions and fry till brown. Add the marinated chicken to it and cook for 10 full minutes in a low flame. Grind poppy seeds, cloves and cinnamon with some water into a smooth paste and add this paste into the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes until half dry. Add a cup of water and mix well. Pressure cook and after 10 minutes when the water evaporates and thick gravy is formed.
